SAN ANGELO Timothy Max Weaver passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Tim was born in San Angelo on Feb. 12, 1954. He graduated from Central High School, joined the U.S. Navy and returned to San Angelo to get a bachelor's degree from Angelo State University. He also attended Tarleton State University for a short time. After college Tim worked for J.I. Case Corporation. Tim returned to San Angelo in the early 1980s. He and his wife purchased Friendly Flowers locally and operated that business for several years. In 1984, he and his brother opened San Angelo Leather Company which quickly became the second largest wholesale leather company in the state of Texas. The company boasted sales of three quarter million dollars annually and provided for two families for almost two decades. Tim adored his loving wife, Mary, and their daughter, Megan. He was a generous, compassionate, soft-hearted man who lived life to the fullest. He was a loyal friend and an extravagant giver. His warmth and humor endeared him to everyone he encountered. He had the ability to communicate acceptance and care through even the shortest interactions. He enjoyed annual hunting trips with his lifelong friends, good food and laughing with family and friends. Tim moved to Waco three years ago to be with his daughter, Megan, and son-in-law Ryan. His love was never more evident that when his grandchildren came into the world. He spent his last years doting on, laughing with and adoring Clara and Max. Tim is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Ryan Gibson of Waco, Texas; as well as his grandchildren, Clara and Max Gibson. Also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Loretta Weaver, as well as their children, Christopher and Melissa and nephew Michael, all of San Angelo. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Johnson's Funeral Home.
