Joseph Alan “Joe” Ellett
December 20, 1953 - January 9, 1977

Joe Alan Ellett, 24, of 182 N. Magdalen died Sunday morning as a result of gunshot wounds.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home with Douglas Rohre, Church of Christ minister from Waco, and Tommy Hicks, minister of the Colorado and Jackson Street Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

He was born Dec. 20, 1953, in San Angelo. He was a student at Angelo State University.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Ellett of San Angelo; two sisters, Mrs. Chris (Nancy) Zimmerman of San Angelo and Mrs. Norman (Ann) Walker of Cleburne; and his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Joe C Ellett of San Angelo.

Pallbearers will be Payl Paschal, Gary Hensley, Arthur Howard, Odell Kirby, Paul “Buddy” Horne, Kurt Chunn, all of San Angelo.
